The Yawl Wallets is a modular printable PDF pattern to create up to four wallet variations with 4 card pockets.
It uses 3mm trim allowance – the outer edges of the wallet are oversized and once the pieces are glued together the excess leather is trimmed down to achieve flush cut edges that are much easier to finish.
The Yawl wallet is a compact bifold wallet that is appropriate for front pocket carry and fits up to 8 cards and folded/unfolded banknotes.
The NFC Key Fob is a pattern to create a key fob that one can interact with depending on the action assigned to the NFC tag.
This can be sharing your social media profile or website, having guests (or your kids) connect to your home Wi-Fi without sharing your password and many more. If you swap the key ring with a leather cord/strip you can also make a bag charm instead of a key fob. :)

THE YAWL WALLETS AND NFC KEY FOB

Capacity: 6-8 cards and cash. US dollar bills must be folded. Shorter bills can be carried unfolded, half tucked-in.
Skill level: Intermediate /trim allowance is used/
Leather:
> 1-1.2mm thickness (2.5-3.0oz), for the card pockets and bases and the NFC Key Fob
> 1.4-1.6mm thickness (3.5-4oz), for the exterior.
> For the Butterfly Pocket you can also use 1.4mm thickness (3.5oz).
Mixed & Classic Versions
Dimensions: 10.5/8cm (~4/3 inches)
Butterfly Version
Dimensions: 10.5/7.5cm (~4/3 inches)
The NFC Key Fob
Dimensions: 7.5/5cm (~3/2 inches)
Pattern specific tools/materials:
> You will need 1 round plastic rewritable NFC tag 2.5cm in diameter (1inch).
Those are largely available online and quite cheap. :)
> 5mm hole punch and one 5mm eyelet (the eyelet is optional)
> One key ring 25-30mm in diameter
Basic Instructions
Print pattern at 100% scale and verify size using the Print Accuracy Test. Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines. Make sure to review the Assembly Instructions PDF file in full before commencing with the build. The stitch holes are spaced at 3.85mm.
