Leather:
>1.4-1.6mm thickness (3.5-4 oz), medium to soft temper for the sling
>1.8-2mm thickness (4.5-5 oz) medium to stiff temper for the strap (or 5mm diameter leather cord)

There is no pattern or full instructions for the strap due to many possible variations of length and length adjustment options, however you will find 3 different suggestions how to make the strap on the last page of the pattern:
a) using a leather cord (fixed length)
b) using a leather strap (fixed length)
c) using a leather strap (adjustable length) with two different hardware options: metal studs or center bar buckle in a standard available size (0.5inch / 1.3cm buckle)
> Note: stitching holes in the pattern are 4mm from the edge and spaced at 3.85mm, however illustrative in nature. You can use other spacing based on your pricking irons or stitching chisels, or aesthetic preferences
> Always print at 100% for the pattern to work correctly. Measure and cut on the outside edge of the lines.
